When in 2013 the owners of this project decided to locate their future residence on the island, they began touring the island and getting to know its different coastal areas.
This was the essential element in their future home. The sea and the beach as companions that would give light, peace and energy to their lives.

They walked from Punta Rucia (Montecristi) to Las Galeras (Samaná) in the north, and from Baní (Peravia) to Miches (El Seibo) in the south.
They tell that they met many and very beautiful corners, some of them very difficult to access, others very remote, some with prohibitions to build, others with restrictions and difficulties to provide basic services, and quite a few owned by people and companies not willing to sell.

After five years of continuous pilgrimage, someone told them about a beautiful beach, almost virgin and private, in a town called Baoba del Piñal. They did not hesitate to visit it and explore the area. They were fascinated by the beauty of the place, its tranquility and peace.
There they located the land where today this spectacular project stands. A lot of almost 2500 square meters, at the foot of the sea, planted with coconut trees that swayed by the sea breeze give a magnificent picture, a heavenly music and a freshness that make this corner a unique place.

Stunned by the charms of the place, on a small cliff and embraced by two beautiful beaches, they began to dream and to draw what would be their home.
They spent many hours, many days looking and looking at the horizon, the lapping of the sea, the wonderful white and bright foam formed by the waves and the scent emanating from the ocean. Immersed in this atmosphere and intoxicated with so much charm, they began to give shape to this dream.

The owner, Nana Escalante, an excellent Italian-Colombian decorator, together with the renowned Colombian architect Mechas Mejias, designed a complex perfectly integrated into nature.

The main objective was to continue preserving the beauty of the place, not to damage or visually contaminate this coconut garden, and on the contrary, to enrich and add even more beauty and vegetation to the environment.

The result was magnificent. A true balance between civilization, development, comfort and respect for nature.
The owners, a couple who love natural beauty, the charm of the land and are committed to sustaining the environment, have been able to create a work of architectural art, using mostly natural materials such as stone, wood, caliche, cana.

For almost a year they were on site every day, directing and controlling every movement of the team of workers, carpenters and craftsmen who participated in the construction work.
It is evident that the passion, effort, affection and dedication with which they treated each step of the process, has allowed the final result to be EXCELLENT.
Polished cement floors, walls plastered in rustic caliche, cana on the terraces, magically integrated antique railings and handmade finishes of natural fibers woven on the ceilings, make this place a place that amazes you wherever you look.

The place surprises on arrival by the extension of the land and its attractive and peculiar distribution, the villa is called PLAYA ESCONDIDA but it could perfectly have been called Waoo, Waoo, Waoo.
